News
Current news follows with Jaco moving to the crew's place in Stratford, Chobham road. Dirk will also be moving towards Statford upon returning from holiday in RSA. He feels the need for change of scenery as he lived in Willesden Green for two years now.
November saw some serious events taking place with the rand dropping to R15.90 to the pound which is of course good for visiting but very sad for our economy and family and friends being affected by the seriousness of the financial world wide depression.

Every body has paid in full for the trip to Andorra next year and excitement is high! Decathlon outside Canada Water tube station on the Jubilee line have ongoing specials on winter and snowboarding gear - go and check it out.

Past Events
February saw a small team consisting of Anna, Dirk, Jaco, Frances, Marcl & Matt set of to the slopes of Andorra testing their witts against the snow on an ironing board item referred upon as snowboarding. Now for 5 people except Anna who is from Sweden snow is something you see on tele and is not for real!
Loads of faceplants the first two days before most got their balance to some degree where they could get up and move for a while all over the slopes endagering most skiers and fellow snowboarders but having the time of their life! Please check the current event section for news on the 2002 February trip that is planned.

Very Slowly April approached and this was the introductin of an motorcycle in the ranks as Dirk decided not to use the tube anymore as freedom was calling! So of to an early start in fresh cold weather to Southend on Sea and for those asking what happens in Southend it can only be said NOTHING - don't go there!!!
May things started nicely as Pierre invited Dirk on a first time surf expedition to Cornwall the bank holiday which resulted in interesting scenery and lovely coastal regions from Cornwall all the way down past St Ive's round back to Truro. The surf is not what we are used to as the swell only get up to about 3 foot which is good for learning but useless for more experienced surfers. The nigtlife is excellent in Newque and well worth the trip there!
June arrived and Dirk and Michelle took 9 days off to visit Scotland on the bike enjoying excellent views of the highlands, castles, lochs and the interesting whiskey tasting distilleries. They had a breakdown between Inverness and Ulapool resulitng in spending a couple hours in the cold and wet before being rescued by the AA. This trip involved mostly camping which is cheap in Scotland but be warned it is still cold even if they say it is summer.
In July Newque once again expierenced the surf team of Matt, Marcel, Jaco, Ross, Frank, Pierre and Dirk making most of the surf during the day and most of the parties at night. The camping was great and stories were told around the camp fire until late when every one started creeping to their tents(nobody can walk after such huge amounts of alcohol!).
Marcél, Carl, Dirk, Jaco, Pierre and Koos in Newque August every one realised that the summer is nearly over and Pierre took the plunge and went off to Scotland for a week. Funny enough Newque once again saw the crew but with Matt leaving for Europe we decided to take Nickey and Andrew down Cornwall and they took their first touring motorcycle trip with Dirk leading the way on his Beemer.
September the moods started changing as summer was departing rapidly and every one was making plans for the next summer. The best idea of course is the decision to get some crew for a wild and wicked snowboarding adventure in Andorra. Sixteen volunteers showed interest, flashed some cash and are ready to test their ability on snow in February 2002.
October was party month as every weekend consisted of home bbq's, birthday's - Dirk's 30th and of course halloween which was held in Chobham road in style with a big fire, refreshments in the form of a wicked punch made by the girls and loads of food!
We also managed to catch the Springbok Nude Girls Live for their last performance in Shephards Bush which was their best show ever!!
Pierre, Jaco, Dirk, Koos and Johnny at Springbok Nude Girls Show
